The hotel is very well located in Manhattan close to train stations and main attractions. The hotel staff is very efficient and friendly. No long queues at reception desk was a blessing. The room was small but enough for a single user like me. The bed was comfortable with plenty of nice pillows. There were other facilities like gym (free to use) and breakfast to purchase but I did not use those.

I really enjoyed my stay at Pod39. The location was excellent, the hotel was clean, and despite its very small size, the room was comfortable. It offers good value for money.

Small room with everything you need and a street view that allowed for natural light. Upon arrival, we were lucky to receive a free upgrade to a slightly larger room, which greatly improved the overall value. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions and concerns kindly. The hotel is in an excellent location near Bryant Park, with many restaurants and attractions nearby. There’s no laundry on-site, but there’s one just a 1-minute walk away. The subway is one block from the hotel. In the morning, breakfast is served at the restaurant with complimentary coffee. When we requested a taxi to return to the airport, the staff kindly arranged a flat-rate ride for us, and everything went smoothly. Thank you very much!

We chose it for its high ratings, affordable rates, and location—and it delivered on all fronts. Great Midtown Location, Surprisingly Quiet Situated near Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building, the hotel is in a central yet calm spot—easy walking distance to Bryant Park and Times Square, and well-connected by subway and bus. Unlike hotels around Times Square, the street and building are quiet, offering restful nights. Charming Historic Building The hotel is housed in a character-rich historic building, not a soulless glass tower. Its exterior and interior design have charm and style, making the stay feel more personal and authentic. Compact but Smartly Designed Rooms Rooms are small, but space is well-used with under-bed drawers, wall hooks, and shelves. The shower and toilet are roomy enough, though separated by a frosted glass wall—fine for couples, but worth noting. Air conditioning handled a NYC heat wave with ease, and Wi-Fi, plugs, and TV all worked perfectly. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and we heard almost no noise from neighboring rooms. Clean and Well-Maintained Housekeeping was excellent. Our requests for linen and towel changes were met promptly. The room stayed fresh and tidy throughout our stay. Exceptional Staff, Especially Christine Christine at the front desk went above and beyond—helping with early check-in, late check-out, and all our questions. She was professional, warm, and truly helpful. Rooftop Bar: A Real Highlight The hotel’s rooftop bar is fantastic—great views, quality cocktails, and a lively but relaxed atmosphere. Not just a hotel bar, but a genuine NYC spot worth visiting.

I appreciated the complimentary coffee provided in the mornings, and the option to purchase pastries or bagels was a nice touch. The common area for breakfast was cozy and a great place to start the day. Overall, everything about my stay was excellent – from the service to the amenities.
